Good Friday

Being "Good Friday" and all, I wax a bit eloquent on the real meaning of the day in history.  Who can really conceive of what Jesus actually accomplished for us on the Cross?
This is the day we remember how He gave His life to suffer on the Cross, just for us, to buy back our freedom and dominion on the earth from the enemy of our souls.  We can't even imagine that kind of suffering, can we?  In the end, the enemies of God were ecstatically happy that Jesus was dead.  They thought they had eliminated their problem.  But instead, Jesus had the victory for us!

So the way I see it, my job (and every other blood-bought Christian's) is to enforce the victories that His death on the Cross bought for us.  He gave US dominion, so let's utilize it!  I want everything His sacrifice of death and His resurrection on Sunday bought for me!  Thank You Lord!!

Have fun with chocolate bunnies (yum) and egg hunts, but don't let those things distract us from the real deal!
